Membership Benefits

    Networking- NAWIC unites, for their mutual benefit, women who are actively employed in various phases of the construction industry.

Networking takes place at monthly chapter meetings, regional meetings, and national conferences.  

Our monthly newsletter and chapter web site features member companies.  Our chapter encourages members to work with businesses who belong to our organization.  

  Education- NAWIC promotes the education and contribution of women to the betterment of the construction industry.  

Several educational opportunities are offered to NAWIC members.  These include but are not limited to the following:

Guest speakers, tours and hands on learning experiences offered by our chapter at monthly meetings and as part of community and special projects. 

Training sessions are offered at regional and national meetings.

NEF (NAWIC Education Foundation) is committed to construction education.  This program offers continuing education and professional certifications to NAWIC members.  It also sponsors construction related educational programs targeted at young people (K-12).  Scholarships are offered to outstanding young women who are in pursuit of a construction related career.

NAWIC's monthly magazine sent out to all members has offers valuable educational information and opportunities.

 Career Enrichment- NAWIC encourages women to pursue and establish their careers in the construction industry.

Career and job leads are frequently available.

You will become connected with women in the industry as well as members of other professional associations such as the BIA (Building Industry Association). 

Leadership opportunities abound in the NAWIC organization.  The skills you acquire as a participating member can be applied to enhance your career. 

You will have opportunities to mentor other women in the industry.

  Personal Enrichment- NAWIC promotes cooperation, fellowship and better understanding of other women in the construction industry.

The friends and associates you will make as a member of NAWIC will not only contribute to your career but to your personal life as well.  

  Community InvolvementNAWIC encourages giving back to the community.  

Community outreach programs such as our chapter's involvement with Genesis House, a home for abused women and their children.

Our chapter sponsors community projects such as sponsoring a family for Christmas, helping families in need, and working with local charities.  

Programs such as Construction Career Days and Block Kids are sponsored by our organization to both educate and enlighten the youth of our community.
